About Tai Chi
Tai Chi is a form of slow exercise suited to young and older people alike. It originates from China and is practised daily by many millions of people all over the world. It is elegant and captivating to watch. Participants find that it calms the mind, improves balance, co-ordination and flexibility whilst exercising the joints without any strain. It is recommended by doctors and heart specialists for its health-giving properties and has been the subject of a BBC TV programme highlighting its health benefits. It has also been suggested that it may help slow the onset of dementia.
Classes
Classes run at the Ludwick Family Centre, Hall Grove, Welwyn Garden City AL7 4PH.
Classes in Welwyn Garden City are on:
Mondays at 2:30 - 3:30pm for beginners
Thursdays 2:15 - 3:15pm for the more advanced
The Monday class teaches the Yang style Short Form
The Thursday class teaches the Yang style Long Form
In both cases you will be taught by an experienced instructor.
The first class is free, so you can come along and try it out without obligation.
